NEW DONE INTERIM GENERAL MANAGER: GRAYCE LIU As reported in today's Daily News by Rick Orlov in his Tipoff column, Grayce Liu has been appointed by the Mayor as interim general manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (aka EmpowerLA). Congratulations Grayce! Here is the article excerpt: Rick Orlov's Tipoff By Rick Orlov, Staff Writer Mayor Villaraigosa appoints new DONE general manager from within department's ranks Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has tapped Grayce Liu, a senior project coordinator in the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment, to fill the general manager's job now that B.H. Kim is leaving to take a job in San Diego. Liu will be named interim general manager and given a chance to see how she does in the sensitive post. Kim had brought steadiness to the job of dealing with the 95 neighborhood councils in the city, riding out threats to dissolve the department into another agency and seeing its funding slashed dramatically.
