Gran Fondo Bicycle Ride 7/22/12

Gran Fondo Bicycle Ride Sunday, July 22, 2012 7AM The ride begins in the City of Pasadena and enters Angeles Crest Highway in La Canada. It continues on to Angeles Forest Highway and then westbound on Big Tujunga Canyon Road. As the riders exit the canyon into the City of Los Angeles, they will ride southbound on Mount Gleason Avenue to westbound Hillrose Street. They then turn northbound on Oro Vista Avenue and enter back into Big Tujunga Canyon. It is estimated that the 800+ riders will be in Sunland at approximately 9AM. They should be pretty spread out and out of the area by Noon. As they enter our City, all riders have been advised to FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE ROAD including all stop signs. THIS IS NOT A RACE. THIS IS NOT A RACE. All residents who reside in the above areas should use extra caution during this time. Please remain patient as riders should only be in the Sunland area for 2-3 hours. Foothill Division will be monitoring the streets that the riders will be riding on. I have extra officers assigned just for the ride. If you have further questions, please let me know.
