NCs TO PAY $10,000+ FOR ELECTIONS???
UPDATE: CAO report released recommends $1550 from NCs who hold elections and $475 from NCs who hold "selections".
NCs TO PAY $10,000+ FOR ELECTIONS???
The City Council Education and Neighborhoods Committee is holding a special meeting on Tuesday afternoon (2:00 p.m.) to once again consider a proposal to charge NCs for the cost of conducting our elections. Rumor has it that the recommendation will be over $10,000 per NC. Be there and speak up or send emails, faxes, make phone calls to Councilmembers Parks, Zine, and Perry. Talk about changing the rules of the game midstream -- now it's the fourth quarter with Region 1 having its elections on August 4 ! (includes Sunland-Tujunga)
