City Commissioner supports saving Oak Trees on McGroarty

Commissioner Andrea Alarcon attended the Nov. 23 LUC meeting and will recommend to the Public Works Commission that the trees not be removed. There will be a report regarding the curb and gutter work in a couple of weeks and she will return to the Dec. 14 LUC meeting (if the report is ready in time) to give us an update. Commissioner Alarcon encouraged us to attend their meeting. There are 5 commissioners who need to vote to support her recommendation regarding the trees which is step #1. Their meetings are held during the week at 9:30 in the morning. We will announce the meeting once it is scheduled. You can also sign up to receive notice through the City's ENS system. All the neighbors present support "saving the trees" and how valuable they are to the community.

Big thank you to all the neighbors who attended and participated at the LUC meeting. Also, thank you to STNC's region 4 reps, Ed Novy and Belinda Woodruff for their outreach efforts too.
