Dear Community Partner:
As you know, the Census is fast approaching and numerous outreach efforts are already underway in the City. There is much at stake - from political representation to billions of dollars in public resources. The City of Los Angeles through the Mayors Office of Census 2010 is tasked with ensuring that we maximize our limited resources by coordinating outreach efforts locally. Working alongside the US Census Bureau, elected officials, the business community, labor unions, schools, churches, and hospitals/clinics, our goal is to support local coalitions, facilitate strategies, and access resources for the communities most trusted messengers.
As a trusted community partner, we invite you to participate in a Census coordinating meeting for the San Fernando Valley. In these challenging times, coordination is key. We have a daunting task ahead of us, but collectively we can ensure an accurate and complete count in the San Fernando Valley.
The success of this effort will not be possible without your leadership and participation. Please join us on:
