Construction at 7066 St. Estaban concerns neighbors due to
the excavation of earth and that the proposed home will end up being built into
the public street (no buffer).
VHGC historic cultural monument status will be before the
commission on 4-18. If you have an
interest, encourage you to speak, be involved. Petitions to support saving the golf course are circulating
again.
The ST Chamber is attempting to contact the owners of the
Foothill / Commerce Town Center.
Application filed for a Zoning Administrator’s Adjustment
for the building of a home at 6342 Sister Elsie. Neighbors are concerned that this is an attempt to not
adhere to previous determinations that Planning gave on this development. Upon inquiry with the Zoning
Administrator, a public hearing will now be held.
An inquiry to change the use at 8263 Foothill from retail to
thrift shop discussed. Owners were
to attend but did not show.
An application for building addition and change of use will
be presented at the April 15 LUC meeting for 10172 Tujunga Canyon Blvd.,
Tujunga.
We are seeing a change of use to auto sales at 8031
Foothill. While not disallowed,
the owners need to comply with the change of use process.
The City is reviewing a Mural Ordinance and asking that
neighborhood councils weigh in.
This will also be on the 4/15 agenda.
The ACE program is moving forward and Animal Services will
be the first department to implement.
City Planning and Building and Safety are to be realigned to
become the Department of City Planning and Development. Feedback on this moving forward would
be appreciated.
The City will hold public meetings regarding policy changes
to the City Planning Mobility Element.
There is concern for the impact on our community if these policies are
adopted.
