Esteemed Constituents,With the fall season upon us and cooler temperatures around the bend, our office thought it was good a time as any to throw together a community driven cleanup. A week from this Saturday (9-26-2009), our office, Community Beautification and other City Departments will provide tools and resources to those interested in creating and employing a cleanup activity in the Sunland-Tujunga area. Attached below is the flyer for the event.
Projects no matter how big or small will be welcomed and supplied with City resources such as shovels, rakes, brooms, and vehicles for trash transportation. Possible cleanups may include alleys with dumped bulky items, unsightly properties with large amounts of debris, or simply canvassing Foothill Blvd while removing articles of trash.
The central point of the operation will be the North East Valley City Hall parking lot behind the building at 7747 Foothill Blvd., Tujunga, where a large trash bin will be located, courtesy of the Bureau of Sanitation. The free flowing event will begin at 9:00 AM and run til 1:00 PM.
