PLEASE RSVP BY 3-12-13 Thank you!
Hello City of LA Stakeholders,
My name is Chris Repp and I work in Water Resources at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). Please join us for a Local Water Supply Program workshop on Tuesday, March 26th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in Downtown Los Angeles.
In response to the Guiding Principles adopted by the LADWP Board of Water and Power Commissioners in October 2012, we are embarking on a multi-year initiative to increase water use efficiency, protect existing assets, and develop new local water supplies. The program will include projects that: (1) conserve water for residential and non-residential customers; (2) remediate the San Fernando groundwater basin; (3) develop additional recycled water infrastructure for irrigation, industrial use, and groundwater replenishment; and (4) capture more stormwater. Pursuing these projects will reduce the City’s dependence on imported water significantly over the next 10-15 years. The Local Water Supply Program will be guided by LADWP’s commitment to secure future water reliability, and an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders like you. Please join us as we tackle the economic, environmental, and social aspects of these proposed initiatives.
