WHY:
LADWP will hold the second of seven regional community workshops to provide input on the city's long-range power plan this Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Los Angeles Mission College in Sylmar. The workshop will focus on the 2010 Draft Power Integrated Resource Plan (Draft IRP) which provides information on LADWP’s long-term strategic investments such as local power plants, transmission systems, energy efficiency and various approaches to transitioning to renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
During the workshops, participants will have the opportunity to break into small groups to learn more about the Draft IRP, provide comments and indicate their priorities for LADWP's long-term energy plan.
