Mountain Lion Investigation Underway

The community was contacted by Robin Parks from the Mountain Lion Foundation on Tuesday evening. He is traveling from San Diego to Sunland tomorrow to begin an investigation into the death of the Mountain Lion that was killed on Friday. He will be interviewing neighbors, talking with law enforcement, and he hopes to be able to see the body of the mountain lion. Robin Parks is retired from the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) after 25 years in law enforcement.

Mountain Lion Presentation at STNC

Thank you to Joe Barrett for video taping last night's presentation at the Sunland Tujunga Neighborhood Council regarding Mountain Lions.  Thank you to Zara McDonald for flying in from northern California for the presentation.  Zara is with the Felidae Conservation Fund.  There have been several sightings lately in the Lake View Terrace area and also the Glenties and McGroarty area.  Thank you to Vikki Brink of the Foothill Trails District Neighborhood Council for arranging this guest speaker for us!  The video is about 35 minutes long but well worth the time.  We look forward to staying in contact with Zara and the Felidae Foundation in the future.
