LADWP Ratepayer Advocate Confirmed by City Council

The appointment of Dr. Fred Pickel as the Ratepayers Advocate was approved by the City Council this morning. In response to questions as to how he would look at issues, Dr. Pickel said he would analyze the tradeoffs associated with the various alternatives and make a recommendation for the policy makers to consider. Dr. Pickel also wants to establish relationships with the Neighborhood Councils and other stakeholder groups.
