3. PRESENTATION: 6821 Foothill - First review of architect's plans for new office and store front for American Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning which includes demolition of existing 416 sq. ft. building built in 1921 and build a new building approx 2,000 sq. ft. Three variances requests: 1) Public parking in an R-1 zone.; 2) Access from the more restrictive C-2 zone to R-1; 3) Setback reduction from required 20 feet for parking from Quinton Lane.

4. DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION: 8505 Foothill (Mobil Station). Neighbor concerns regarding this proposed change from auto repair to self-serve drive-thru car wash. LUC previously supported the proposal. STNC Board requested applicant to present at STNC meeting but so far that has not been confirmed. Neighbors wish to comment about the proposal.

5. DISCUSSION from last meeting regarding problem sites in Foothill Corridor and surrounding commercial and residential areas.

6. Citywide Urban Design Guidelines - Negative Declaration comment deadline extended to Sept. 7, 2010.

7. OTHER UPDATES
a. Brief feedback on LA City Septic Systems ordinance Listening event 8/10/10 at NVCH, 6:30 p.m. - Neighbor request for STNC position.
b. 11370 Alethea - Clearwire 80 ft. WTF - Update on hearing held 8/2/10 and determination letter issued. Next stop NVAPC on 9/16/10.
c. 7937 Foothill Blvd. - update on NVAPC hearing held 8/5/10.
